150th Post Giveaway

I'm back from my unintended break! Woop! So, I went to the farmer's market this morning, picked up some rhubarb, asparagus, some little herblings for my bucket veg garden, local milk, two huge bags stuffed full of spinach for a steal, yadda yadda. I'm eating simple miso soup with rice for lunch (did YOU know that seaweed comes pre-perferated now?!), and planning supper: violet spinach salad with slivered rhubarb and honey-balsamic viniagrette dressing; asparagus crepes; ginger rhubarb mini crepes or ginger lemon violet cupcakes for dessert. What's exciting in life right now: my first commissioned embroidered map and my bucket vegetable garden, the latter of which is taking over my bedroom.

In light of this being the 150th post, I'm having a small giveaway! My grandpa gave me his mother's collection of crochet thread, including the suitcase it came in, and her collection of crochet hooks. Most of them are teeny tiny for making lace, but there's a few bigger ones, and even a hand carved one. Stuff like this only happens to real cool bloggers! I could open up a store with all this thread!!! So far, it's been used to stitch up some hand crafted little books, one of which I'm giving away to one lucky reader. You have until May 21st to reply. I'll draw a name at random and send you the book, no matter where you live.
